State Chapters

The National Lawyers Association continues to build its network of state chapters, working to establish a presence within each state of this Country. State Chapters are a powerful, unified voice for legal professionals to enhance our collective ability to support and strengthen our profession, and to improve law and judicial policy nationwide.

The NLA is devoted to providing the national resources to state attorneys who desire to establish a state chapter of the NLA, including providing the necessary resources including web and information technology support to have an immediate web presence, a telephone line and email account, use of the NLA logo and marketing documents and access to the NLA publications and benefits to help promote the NLA within the state.

The NLA Commission for the Protection of Constitutional Rights is also available to NLA members at the state level to expand the NLA’s advocacy initiatives to the state and local levels. The current President of each state chapter is automatically appointed to the Committee of State Presidents, which serves in an advisory capacity to the NLA Board of Directors. This Committee may appoint a Chair, who reports to the Board of Directors at the annual meeting and during the year as needed.
